The practical session for students of A/L technology stream started on the 3rd of March 2019 and went on till 6th. 39 students from Mercy Education Campus and 52 students from Anuradhapura Zahira College, Kahatagasdigiliya M.M.V. and Ikirigollawa An Noor M.V. participated and benefited from this programme. The sessions included nearly 200 spot tests and all students had the opportunity to do the tests individually. Demonstration sessions were conducted by well experienced resource persons in the fields of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Micro biology and Agriculture. The sessions continued from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.
At the end of the program a written test based on the practical sessions was conducted. The results of the test showed a very good impact on the students. The students from outside schools were very happy about the arrangements and they expressed their gratitude for giving them an opportunity to handle the tools and equipment to do the practical and learn many things in a safe, morally sound and conducive environment. Some students expressed that they saw these tools for the first time. Though they were taught theoretical components of the subject in their classroom they did not get an opportunity to touch and test these and tools equipment.
The students of MEC had the opportunity to compare their standard with the students of other schools. Almost all students participated in this programme from schools other than MEC commented that they were able to pray the five times obligatory prayers on time at Masjidh. Click here Photos
